Why Teaching? I’m a 4th generation teacher, so I think it’s part of my genetic makeup. I really love the connection I make with my students, and the rewards and challenges that come with teaching. It’s just a part of who I am.

What makes Walgrove a special place? Walgrove is special because it embraces and celebrates community. There’s true motivation present between the students, teachers, and parents to work together to make the school the best it can be.

Who/What inspires you? I’m inspired by the buzz in my classroom when my students make new connections and discoveries. My colleagues are inspiring as well. They’re good people that want the best for their students and work hard to be the greatest teachers they can be.

If not teaching, what would you be doing? Stand-up comedy. I actually have a running gig in Room 19. Just ask the kids!
