Why teaching? I became a teacher because of the huge impact my teachers had on me growing up. I had quite a wonderful mix of amazing educators that helped shape the person I became and forever hold a special place in my heart.

What makes Walgrove a special place?  Walgrove has so many unique happenings that make it a special place. Studio/STEAM Lab is always engaging and innovative. Then there’s Theater, where all performance anxiety is lost, and students engage through age appropriate processes and learn the fundamentals while having fun along the way. There’s also PE, the Walgrove Wildlands, Musical Theater just so many happenings that enrich learning.

Who/what inspires you? I’m inspired by my students’ academic growth, enthusiasm, and perseverance. Knowing that I make an impact in their future is my drive and motivation.

If you were not teaching, what would you be doing? Since the very first time I was asked what I wanted to be when I grew up, I said I wanted to be a teacher. A couple years later, like in second grade, I added a Lawyer and Interior Designer. Although now that I really think about it, if I was not teaching, I’d probably be something in Fashion.
