Why teaching? I teach because I get to be around young minds. Children see the world differently than adults, and each day feels fresh and new near them.

What makes Walgrove a special place? Walgrove is special for many reasons. It’s huge. I’m sure it must have the most square footage per individual in the whole District. Also, it has a lot of passionate people working there.  Additionally, it is a very diverse population. Finally, it seems that some kids that don’t feel safe in other places, do feel safe at Walgrove.

Who/what inspires you? I love a good story, told well. I enjoy pursuing work that I think makes me a better person.

If you were not teaching, what would you be doing? I like to stay active, and I enjoy being creative. Maybe I would be a stay-at-home parent for my cats.
